Can't get to the Tools...Server option... - 5/25/2006 10:39:50
I accidently copied my root web page to a subweb folder and can't figure out how to get it back to its original place, so no one can edit their webpages with Frontpage 2002. When I go to Tools, Server is grayed out. We host our own web server and have Frontpage Server Extensions installed and available. I know where the files were copied to but I don't know where to copy them back to because it is the main home page and not just a folder for one of our subwebs. If one of the web authors goes to their website and chooses the option to edit the page with MS Frontpage they can't access the server either. We don't have a recent backup and I am a new to web admin. Also...when trying to open the edit with MS Frontapge option under File I get the error message that says Server Error, can't open frontpk.lck, no such file or folder. I guess this gets back to being unable to connect to the server. I can give more info if some one asks for something specific. TIA

did you copy or move the files? If you moved the files then they need to be moved back. The location is under the c: icon and it's something like c:\Program files\IIS\WWWroot\themainwebname\ Do a hard drive search for wwwroot and you should be able to find the location
