speechagents -> Please Rate my site- I am ready to go Live! (5/30/2006 17:39:02)

I have made a lot of changes and I am ready to go live. Do you think my home page is inviting or is there something missing. Please let me know.

Thanks, Mike

Welcome to Outfront.

Aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh! An entire site full of them! [:D]

I have to say I'm not a fan of those things, mainly because of the gratuitous use on sites that have no business using them. They drive me nuts.

Luckily my speakers were switched off so I didn't instantly take a major dislike to your site and feel calm enough to review it.

The site is clean, clear, tells you exactly what it's about without having to hunt for it. Perfect.

I realise that grammatically What is SpeechAgents is correct but it just never sounds right does it. Anything with an S on the end seems like it ought to have an are rather than an is. I tend to reword things like that so they don't bug me.

Unfortunately my speakers were switched on. I'd say on any site that has sound, the ability to turn it off, and turn it off quick, is vital.

Like Jaybee I browse with speakers off, so I wasn't too irritated. Easy to navigate and clean design. I would think about adding a contrasting colour to the page, just a small hint of the warm side of the spectrum like browns/oranges away from the text, just to lift it a little. But then that's all down to personal taste [:D]

Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing. I had my iTunes going listening to some nice mellow jazz and then.......

I understand that the sound is your product and needs to be on, so agree with womble, add the ability to turn the sound off. I wouldn't mind the site with the speech the first time. I think that if it went off every time I visited your site without that ability to turn the sound off, it would make me no longer visit.

I do like the site and think it lays out very well other than that.
