It's a bit on the plain side which is not necessarily a problem but a picture or something would liven it up. Nix the message about software problems, you meant to design it that way. :)

And that Marquee! Get rid, it's doing my eyes in.

Put a block of text on the page that says what the site is and add the marquee content at the end of it.

In fact, your about us page would make a great home page and save you some space.

Love the riding and safety tips, more sites should have that.

Nice bikes! Always wanted a low rider but the seats were so wide my feet wouldn't reach the floor. Ended up with a Ducati Darmah instead.

Thank you for the feedback....keep it coming.

I took your advice and combined the about us page into the homepage.

I'm new to webpages.
I chose the light grey background cuz i felt white was too hard on the eyes. Makes it easier to read.
Also, i wanted to make sure the webpage loaded as fast as possible cuz there are alot of people in this area that are still on dial-up due to their rural location.
I chose a dark blue for page headers and links cuz blue is my favorite color and goes good with grey.
One thing i still need to do is use the...optimize html...option when i publish it to the host.

Ok

I've uploaded the new pages....
NO frames or shared borders.
I used a dwt with includes for the top banner and navigation menu on the left.

Let me know what you think...

Thanks

I'm afraid overall it's just a little too grey from my liking, and I found those table borders very distracting. I'm wondering if centring the whole thing and having a different background colour around the edges might 'brighten' it a little. As Jaybee said, it's plain, but that's not bad though - it's uncluttered and easy to read.

One thing I did find distracting was that there a strange sort of jumping going on when you change pages, particularly with the main title, but I'm not sure why - I'd have to look at the code more closely to see what might be causing it. You do seem to have different sizes for the table cells on some of the pages though. For example on the 'links' page where the nav is, that left column is the width of the nav buttons, on 'my bike' it's a little wider, and on 'weather' the whole page goes wider as the page loads, and then that left column settles down to slightly wider than on some of the other pages.

You've got potential for a really good site there though. :)

Good! The only thing now is the Header. The shadow is too far away from the text and I find I'm losing focus. It might be better if the letters were a lot larger, whatever the shadow needs to be closer in.

Oh hang on your menu's gone funny you have mouseovers on two of them so you seem to have two of the same button.

Ok...i think i have the bugs worked out and other than maybe a few minor changes...it's done.

I kinda agree with you on the plain look but don't know how to fix it.
I did want to keep it easy to read and fast loading.
Suggestions welcome.

Only one this i dislike is the borders firefox is showing , which are not showing in IE .

If you want to remove the border so it doesn't show in firefox changing <table border="1" to <table border="0" will remove the border from view.

On a side note you need more babe pic :):)

If this is your first website, I say you've done a great job.

You'll love it for a while and then you'll start seeing warts; and you'll improve it.

LOL @ warts....funny way to put it.

Well...I been doing my own website since 1999...satrted with..
http://www.techtalkplus.net

Last year I added...
http://www.centralkentuckybikers.com

I've learned a lot tho in those years...mainly from reading and experimenting.

My main goals are...
1. Make the sites easy on the eyes...no bright colors and no white
backgrounds or flashy cheesy gifs.
2. Make it fast loading...lots of people still on dial-up.
3. Make it organized and easy to navigate

I'm sure there are still some things i could do to make it look better...which is why I'm here.

So...thanks to all for the input and help.
