jdanderson02 -> Resources for FP2003 and Data view? (6/6/2006 9:42:12)

We're finally making the leap off of FP2002 extensions and the trusty DRW in to the Data View world of FP2003 and Windows Sharepoint Services. Can anyone point me to resources where I can learn how to do things with this setup that I am used to doing with the DRW? Thanks in advance.

Haven't had experience with it myself but from what I hear, you may want to look at Expression if you're used tot the DRW.

There was a thread going in another area (I think the Hints & Tips but I'm not sure.)

thanks, rdouglass. What I have found is that attempting to open a WSS site in Expression generates "Microsoft Expression Web Designer does not support opening web sites based on Windows Sharepoint Services or Sharepoint Team Services."

WSS sites can be opened with Sharepoint Designer 2007 but attempting to do anything with it requires that the .NET 2.0 framework is installed on the server.

All of that points me back to using FP2003 and the Data View functionality on WSS, but lacking the knowledge on how to do things with the more current configuration that I have been doing for a while with the DRW and FP2002 extensions.

Sorry to be a pest, but does anyone know where I can find a resource such as this forum is for using the DRW, but for using the DRW replacement, FP2003 and WSS?

We are currently running WSS 2.0 (standalone) in production. We recently
starting getting errors when uploading or attaching any files over approx.
60KB. The error message is "Form Validation Error: Please correct the
information you provided by following these steps, then submit the
information again: Cannot open file "<name of file>". This occurs using
both the Browse button or the Upload Multiple Files option. We have checked
Central Admin and the max file size upload limit is correctly set to 50MB,
and we also checked to make sure we have Service Packs 1 and 2, as well as KB
articles 289318 and 841876 with no success. If anyone has any suggestions,
it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
