Using Frontpage includes in my web site - 6/7/2006 7:17:24
Hi,
Am having problems using Includes in my web site. I have a web site with 5 sub-webs. When I try to include a page in sub-web1 in a page in Sub-web2. The include window does not allow me to browse to Sub-web1 to choose the page I want to include in Sub-web2.

It only allow me to include pages on the same Sub-web

Is it a bug in FP 2003 or is there another way of achiving this in FP 2003.

Pls I need help.

Welcome to OutFront Aham!!!

I have never tried from sub web to sub web but it sort of makes sense.

If this is true then I would go for server side includes (SSI). Same principle as you are including another page on the server side to be rendered down to the browser.

Here are a few pages you can read up on what it is and how to use this function (It will take an HTML edit but it not too rough)...

Take care,

Brian, I just had a go trying to force FP to take a subweb page as an include in the normal way and Aham is correct, it wouldn't accept it. So SSI it is. :)
