DVD writing software - 6/10/2006 23:05:39
Can someone give me some decent info on what to use for DVD packet writing? Im sick and tired of trying InCD (nero) as after a day or 2 the disk becomes read only. I want RELIABLE software / setup that allows me to write to a DVD when I want, not when incd decides its ok..... Any hints?

I use CloneDVD to write a DVD disc. I have had zero issues with it so far. The same company also has a very popular AnyDVD, software that allows you to backup your DVD onto another DVD or computer. This place is about the best area for any DVD/CD related software: http://www.cdfreaks.com/software

LOL....and all this time I thought I was the only person who hated incd......I use cyberlink dvd solution works well and while it wasn't packaged with my DVD burner and had a cost of 59.99 US. I figure I have saved that much in DVD blanks that didn't burn using incd. here is a link http://www.cyberlink.com/multi/products/main_33_ENU.html

For now, I just use RAM disks for storage, but they are so slow......

Yes Spooky. Take a look at Sonic Solutions. They have a broad line of solutions but the one I'm using that I've had excellent luck with is called Sonic DigitalMedia Plus. www.sonic.com/products/Consumer/ It's been very reliable for me and copies/burns to a large variety of media, including DVDs. I've been using it for about three months now, and I burn 3-4 CDs daily, DVDs less frequently, and I haven't had a single bad burn yet. Best of success in your search. Hope this helps.
