UGH! Thought I had it... Firefox issue - 6/14/2006 12:37:26
www.bacwebdesign.com/fp/shorelineexpression

This is my first CSS based web site. Thought I had it until I opened it in Firefox. I have tried just about EVERYTHING I can think of... can someone take a look and let me know what is causing the navigation bar to float up and right?

Get rid of the

 width: 6em

on your menu and it works fine.

Edit: Also add

clear:both;

To your header div to push it to where you want it.

No problem.

You're best bet with CSS layouts is to always work with Firefox as your test browser. It works much more closely to the W3C standards than IE does (how's that for an understatement) so it's easier to fix IE's problems than to do it the other way around - if you see what I mean!

Code for Firefox, check in Opera, fix for IE.

OK... the navigation "buttons" are OK, but the text in the header is sitting too low in Firefox. Any other ideas?
