How I make animations of text (flashing text, text appear one by one character repeatelly) like:

it's just an animated gif. you make two frames - one without, duplicate it then add the text to the second. adjust the times between frames to your liking and export as an animated gif. check your image editor for further help if need, or post back here with more details (software you have etc)
