I Upgraded from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003, now my Web extension 2002 do not work. I get this message:

Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks

Did you ever resolve this problem?

I had a similar issue just recently after setting up a server with Win2003. I was able to resolve by doing the following:

1. Open IIS Manager. Under Websites, select your Default Site and choose Properties.
2. In All Tasks, choose Remove Server Extensions 2002
3. Then, in the Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Programs and in the Windows Component, Uncheck the Application Server.
This will remove the IIS, as you need to reinstall it using the "Manage Your Server"
4. Restart pc
5. Open "Manager your Server" and click the "Add or remove a role" button
6. Click Next till you see Server Role. Application server (IIS...) should not be on the list. Click
Add or Remove Programs.
7. Check all the applications you need including the IIS.
8. Once complete, click "Manage this application" in the Manager Your Server window.
9. In the Application Server, under Websites, right click Default Site, Properties, Server Ext 2002 tab. Click Settings
10. A Server Administration web page will open, click Administration at the top
11. Under Virtual Servers, click the site under Name
12. You should open a new web page titled: Site Administration for "http://your ip address". You should see User and Roles, Server Health, etc.

The only thing I really figured out from this is that in Win2k, you can manage all this from the IIS Manager. In Win03, you need to manage all this from the "Manage Your Server" window.

NOW. My issue is, after I have done all this and got it working, I cant seem to open some of my sites hosted particularly with 1and1.com. I am getting an issue that has something to do with SharePoint. Once I try to open the site from FP03, I get one of the following error messages:

the folder isn't accessible. the folder may be located in an unavailable location, preotected with a password, or the filename contains a / or \

or

documents in this folder are not available. the folder may have been moved or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the server.

Im wondering if this helps you out in any way. Like I said, it appears to only be affecting certains sites I host. I tried 3 other sites on other hostings and I do not get this issue.

Octavious
