TrudyD1474 -> Not-for-profit website (6/22/2006 13:28:14)

Ok, I'll jump in here and face the critique squad.
I started building this site a year ago. Prior to that most of my website building was a hobby, now I get paid for it.

This is a not-for-profit group. I have a website, a subweb site and a member only site.

The website is basically all about the organization, Columbia Basin Development League. The subweb is more about the initiative that we are pushing forward. This website is suppose to be more informative than anything else. I have since integrated the subweb with the root web so that it is seamless, however, there are still two different headers based on which web you are going to.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Trudy

I think all the website needs right now is some tidying-up and getting rid of the intro animation.

About the tidiness: At least the homepage is a bit off-aligned. The spaces between different elements are uneven, there are unnecessary empty gaps and some elements are totally missing paddings (=inside margins).

You just need to refine the appearance. I do it almost a dozen times when doing a website design. Put things more in order, play a little with margins and spaces between things, try different colors etc.

It's not a total failure at all. I think the website is clear to read and much better than some awful U.S. government sites I've come across.
