Editing Live - 6/22/2006 21:57:36
I'm able to do this on my desktop but I can't get it set up right on my laptop. The page always comes up with a (1) after it. What am I missing?

Thanks!

Do you have a copy of the site locally on the laptop?

Yes and I can do everything on it except that. Any suggestions?

I am having similar problems - I can 'live update' on some pages, but not others. When I open the page w/ FP, it displays the edited version, but when I open in browser, it displays the 'old' version.

Suggestions?

thanks

This isn't a definite cause for your problem but it may have something to do with it. I've been having a lot of trouble recently with caches not updating. I upload a change and then have to wait for ever for it to appear. Try all the usual stuff, CTRL + F5
CTRL+Shift+R
Putting a ? on the end of the URL

and still the same. Try again a few hours later and it's all OK. I've got the same problem now. I made a change in a CSS file which should make a radical change to the site but nothing, it still appears the same so I thought I'd be craftly and force it. Went in and deleted the stylesheet completely thinking I'd get an unstyled page and could then put the styles back and get the new ones.

Nope, even without the stylesheet I'm getting the styled page.
