I don't know what the say about the site. Church sites are something I'm not very good at: they don't try to egoistically sell some product or promote a company or person, as I've used to working with.

I think the site is ok and it works. The tiled backgrounds are old-fashioned, but maybe not bad in your case. The navigation is clear and the page is thoroughly consistent.

What I would do, though, is replace the Times New Roman font in some areas with something else. I'm not saying it's a bad choice of a font—it can work quite well in some situations—but it doesn't fit in your page. It's also too small, since Times requires bigger size to be readable. Give it the same Arial as on the rest of the page, or if you're dying to to use a serif font, use Georgia.

I would also underline links other than those in the navigation, to avoid any possible confusions.
