cooper -> Do you affiliate? (11/13/2001 18:12:00)

A client of mine is a small hosting copmany. They asked me to develop an affiliate program. They want to have a sign up form that is forwarded to their sales team (easy enough). Once they approve the site, they will send the affiliate links, grpahics and the HTML to create the graphics. Again... easy enough. Now for the hard part...

They want to set up a way to track the incoming sales from those links. If the customer comes over to the hosting company site from the affiliate and signs up on the form page, it's easy enough to track the sale. I am having an issue with the customer who comes to the hosting site and ends up browsing around before going to the form. Also, any suggestions on how to track sales (the client wants to pay affiliates a set $ figure every month their customer continues to host with them).

I have never delved into the "affiliate world" (as you can probably tell - other than the occasional amazon.com link). Suggestions for sites with tutorials or links to companies selling programs or scripts would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on this!!!

You might take a look here.

But I think you will get much better response to this if you post it in the OutFront Lounge.

Hi,

You may want to look at:

www.1shoppingcart.com

They have pretty much what you are looking for. I don't know how their prices compare to Commission Junction, but they have a 30 free trial period.

Later,

Dan
