Trevacious Guy -> I Dearly Need This Font... (7/13/2006 19:32:06)

It's called 20th Century Poster, but it's not the commonly available version I bought online the other day.

No, the one I need so badly looks like this.

Does anyone still have this font or a source for it? I was using this back in 2001, but that was a couple of computers ago and now I find I've lost it.

This newer version (the one I purchased) is said to have first appeared in 2002, but it looks like a cheap knockoff of the one I'm seeking. (Alas, I didn't look at it carefully enough before buying, I just went by the name.)

I initially found this forum by googling a post about the font. There was a link to where you could get a free version, but this was years ago and the links are dead now.

Can you help? If so, I could throw some happy smileys your way...

Hiya, fonts, spit.

Go to http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ and submit a graphic of what you want.

Check out their response as to what it is and you may find something very close or spot on even.

I have it but don't know how to transfer it or whatever.

I used it here: HERE

Is that what you want?

You can attach the font if it resides in another location other than the "fonts folder" in the windows direcotry.

Try dragging the font from the "fonts folder" to your desktop and then when creating the email attach the file that is on the desktop not from the "fonts folder".

What is that font? I'm also interested. The font name, that is.

Is it freeware?

Anyone mind if I jump on the font train here? [:)]

I'm also looking for a font I've lost to corruption. I've searched it out and actually found a site that had it, but for some reason their file was also corrupt. Font is called Silverleaf Bold.

Silverleaf...

Where did you see it?
Whose design is it?
What does it look like?

Anders, because of your unstinting pursuance of all things to do with fonts and your enthusiasim and appreciation of their finer characteristics, I hereby dub you "Fontmeister General" in recognition of your service to fonts and fonting.

Please feel free to use the title as you see fit.
