Heads up AMD, here comes Intel - 7/16/2006 21:31:21
Intel's Core 2 Extreme & Core 2 Duo: The Empire Strikes Back
Intel will be coming out with their new line of CPUs this August. These new CPUs will outperform AMD's current line of CPUs that are in the same price range. AMD should be coming out with their new line pretty soon, but it is hard to tell if they will be able to meet or beat Intel's latest CPU line.

I just bought a Centrino Duo (dual core) and it's pretty responsive so I bet those babies zip right along. You really notice the dual cores when you're doing background tasks. I don't do a lot of that kind of stuff but when my regular scheduled virus scan runs int he background and I never notice until the message pops up that the scan is completed.
Prior to that, it was very noticeable and most times I cancelled the scan. Just things like that are now possible without any interuptions
