Techie Forum - 11/27/2001 23:06:00
I'm working on a Web Page for techies and right now we are testing the Forum. http://techtips.netfirms.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl

Can you please check it out and do some posting... Please let me know if there are any bugs also.

This is currently on a Free website so you will get a few pop up windows (sorry), but Its only here for testing. If you don't want to sign up, Guests can post on the General board.

Also, I'm looking for moderators if anyone is interested.

Thanks

Rodney

The site seems to be down for the moment, sorry! I think they are re-booting the servers.

Hi Rodney,
IT would be nice to have a good techie site since two of the best are now in dot.com heaven!

Comments: The logon, guest or register thing is confusing. I would assume that I can go in as a guest if I clicked on the logon link but once there I have to be registered. Maybe just change the wording on that a little bit.

Glad to see a MS area.

A little curious as to why gender is there. Is that so the techie guys don't have to bother to read the posts from the techie girls who "don't know anything anyway". or is it so the techie girls can stay away from the posts from the techie guys who are "usually pretty obnoxious on these type of boards". Actually, I'm joking...sort of...but I am curious why gender would be important.

It's looking like a good start.

Thanks hoping that we can have a nice techie site for techie guys to go to. Anyway, I'll see what I can do about the login, and you answer for the Gender thing is NO, not important. It is an option when signing up, you can turn it on or off. So maybe some guy feels the need to let everyone know he is a mans man, then so be it!
