Shirley -> Got AOL on a Mac?? I need help (7/26/2006 15:08:05)
I need someone with aol on a mac to test a site for me. Also Aol no mac and mac no aol
It is NOT my site. so don't give me a critique I just figured this was the best forum to post it in.
I am setting up a fundraiser for a charity and the director has aol on a mac and cannot see the page. I need to know if it is her or if I can tell the guy that he needs to re-program his site. thanks

Could it be to do with the entire page being encrypted?
quote:
AOL - Version 4.0 or higher. Note that not all versions of AOL come with support for 128-bit encryption. You may need to upgrade your browser to this level of encryption. Upgrades for 128-bit encryption are available directly from Microsoft, Netscape and AOL via their respective web sites.

I used Safari (default mac browser) to view the page and it came up ok. I don't have AOL though.
I thought the encryption level was the strength of https, the link is http ???? Perhaps you're referring to something else or changed the link.

Ahhhh, well tell her to ditch AOL and also find out if she's using Norton as that could be blocking all sorts.
