SerenityNet -> RE: caching issues (8/9/2006 21:27:42)

It works on other pc's in the house without any problem, it works through the proxy, and it works on any other machine I've tried. It just won't work on my main home PC. It must be cached on the pc somewhere. (And no, I don't do AOL:-) I can't figure it out though. I've revised history, tossed my cookies, let go the temporary files, and set IE to look for new versions with each visit. I've done the same with Firefox. I've run utilities, like ccleaner, to clear my history. But yet IE, Firefox, and Netscape give me the 400 error page when I try the URL. And the error page pops up in an eyeblink or less, like the browser isn't even looking. I get the error under my wife's login or my login. However, on the same PC, the OffbyOne browser forwards properly. I can ping the URL. It must be the cache, but I'm clueless on where it is hiding. And why IE, Firefox, and Netscape, but not OffbyOne? Ideas?
