Now I've seen it all - 8/5/2006 7:53:58
I've been asked to develop a web site that's been designed by a professional Graphic Designer and it's thrown up a scenario that had never occurred to me before.

The design looks pretty but has a scrolling nav bar with pictures you click on to take you to the pages, no text. Vincent Flanders calls it "Mystery Meat" navigation. With the help of a few people on here I've found a piece of kit that'll let me do it and make it accessible.

Then I stepped back and looked at it from a usability angle and was amazed to discover that this so called professional, (the company also develop web sites), has managed to come up with a site that'll be fully navigable if you're blind but a complete nightmare for anyone else.

That's a new one!
