4TheTide -> image positioning with external style sheet? (8/10/2006 9:27:47)

I have several images that I want to appear on all of my web pages and at the same location on each page.

Is there a way to place and position images that are NOT background images using an external style sheet?

2 things you could try;

1) use server side includes or possibly fp includes. (Search this site for info)

2) Create a div give it an ID not a class, add the image as a background image to the div, position the div to appear where you want it then add the div to each page.

Why no class (Other than I have no class [;)])?

Curious,

Just because I assumed 4thetide would want each image to appear only once per page and it would be less confusing. If multiples of the same image are required per page then each would require it's own differently positioned div. I suppose classes could also be used, and come to think of it I can't see a real reason for using ID's instead of classes in any circumstances. If it's just the one appearance per page thing then use a class and just put it on the page once (how difficult is that?)
