Over time I've read about people looking for a project manager type system. I was just reading about one and am just begining to try it out and thought I would pass it along to others: www.voo2do.com Oh, and it is free. If anyone else is using, or has, I would be interested in their feedback. From my initial looks, it appears as though it is easy enough to use and a single place to store my many different projects and their tasks. Or if you know or use another, I would be interested too.

It looks pretty handy but....

It's completely free
It's hosted completely free
They don't hand out any of your details
It's ad free

Concerns.......

1. What's in it for him? He seems to make nothing from it and unless he's got free hosting, it's costing him money.

2. If he gets fed up with it all your project data is tied up in something that may just suddenly disappear

3. If he sells it you may suddenly find you get a hefty annual bill.

Yeah Jaybee, I kind of wonder too. But, I wonder about that a lot when visiting other sites too, as well as free programs etc. But, it is a good point if you are going to have data up there that you depend on.

It's not online, but it is free (if you discount the cost of purchasing OmniOutliner) - http://kinkless.com/ kGTD or Kinkless GTD, based on the Getting Things Done system. I'm trying to get my head around it (GTD) at the moment, but sometimes I just use good old MS Project.

Or a list on a piece of paper [:D]

Not sure I can take anything called Kinkless seriously.

My background in IT is Project Management so I'm used to using the big boys such as Prince and SSADM. The problem with those is you spend so much time managing the project you never actually get any work done.

These days I use to do lists in Essential PIM

I did Prince, and I liked it, but I'm not sure it's actually that good for I.T. but more for other industries , which is ironic because that's where it originated. I've been reading a lot about Agile development, and that seems to be a much better methodology because it can account for changes much more easily.

Personally, I've found there's a point at which it doesn't matter how much technical stuff you know, you need to have some PM skills, and the whole area is very interesting to me now. Probably because of too many late nights staring at a screen!!![:(][&:]
