Critique of CoolTip viewed using Firefox - 8/15/2006 10:30:03
The tan background color of the three CoolTip mouseover pop up windows (3 samples)
on my EWD test website displays correctly using XP Pro's IE, iRider, Advant Browser, and Apple's Safari, but the
background color is a dark brown (that prevents one from reading the lighter text) when viewed using Opera and Firefox.

Any suggestions as to what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks,

Kerry

You developed that using EWD? How come it's got tables in the layout?

As for the colours, you have styles in a stylesheet you've also got internal styles and more styles in the javascript and they're all conflicting with each other. There's also mountains of javascript in the page which should all be in external .js files and called in.

Finally, those cooltip pop ups are some of the most annoying things I've seen on a page. Every time I moved my mouse another one appeared and I was constantly having to close them.

Thanks for taking the time to view my web.

Yes, I made it using EWD but I"m using a store-bought template that has css. My first time at trying to understand it.

I'm at a loss as to how to turn the javascript into .js files I'll try removing the "close" requirement and see if that makes it less annoying.

Again, thank you,

Kerry
