Intermittent file sharig - 8/17/2006 14:37:01
File sharing between 2 computers is intermittent – sometimes the computers will recognize each other and sometimes they won’t. The internet connection is not effected, it always works for both computers. Both are P4 xp computers, both without sp2 installed. They are networked via a Linksys wired ‘b’, not ‘g’, version router.
Any ideas?

Yes, they are in the same workgroup. I actually have this problem solved (I think) by designating one of the browsers as the 'master browser'. This is done by changing a setting in the registry. Go here and scroll down to 'condor' if you're interested in a more detailed explanation.
