FP Extensions on IIS not being configured - 8/18/2006 13:17:07
Hi there, I run a small web server for my clients but am little new to the administration side of IIS; I'm a Coldfusion/SQL developer and have been learning as I go since we switched to dedicated hosting. We run four CF sites off of our Win2003 server under IIS 6 and Coldfusion MX 7. I don't use FP for anything myself, but one of my clients uses the FP client to update his site and insists on using the FP Extensions to connect. When I set up the first site, I added FP extensions (all tasks --> configure) to that site and it worked fine. A few weeks ago, we added another site that also needs the extensions. I go to All tasks --> configure server 2002 extensions It brings up a login box. I put in the Admin user/pw. The 'extend server' screen pops up. I hit 'submit' and it says 'please wait while your changes are processed.' Then it just sits there and does nothing. There's nothing in the logs to indicate what the problem might be. I don't even know where to start looking since I am largely unfamiliar with FP. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Sam

Have you tried restarting the IIS services (restart the WWW Publishing service)?

Yep. I've tried restarting the service, the server, and the machine. No dice.

I had a similar issue and it seems that IIS needs to be installed and configured using the "Manage Your Server" control panel. See this posting: http://www.frontpagewebmaster.com/m-329907/tm.htm Octavious
