How to use SSL certificate for only one webpage of site? - 8/29/2006 21:28:48
I wonder if some smart person out there can help me. I am rather new to web design, so be patient! My site is located at www.ignatiuschicagocrew.org, and I had to purchase an SSL certificate from my hosting company because I want to secure one of the pages. Is there a step by step instruction somewhere on how to do it? My site was down for several days after the certificate was installed, and now I have it back up, but I still do not know how to have only one page be secured. When I try to check the box that says "Encrypted Connection Required (SSL)," I get this error: "An error occurred accessing your Windows SharePoint Services site files. Authors - if authoring against a Web server, please contact the Webmaster for this server's Web site. WebMasters - please see the server's application event log for more details." If you know of any ideas, please share.

Usually you don't need to publish securely but just reference securely - https://www.example.com/file.html
