Apache and Upload Form - 9/12/2006 3:50:28
Hello,

I have just joined in the hopes of finding a solution to our problem. We have a problem with Frontpage's upload form. When the upload form is submitted, we recieve the following error:

Cannot run the FrontPage Server Extensions on this page: "example.com/example/ex.html"

Our servers are linux with Apache installed. This Microsoft article seems to explain the problem: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/831022/en-us?spid=2514&sid=49 .

I was wondering is there was a work around to this. Is there anything that can be modified to allow the upload form to run correctly?

In addition, when I right click the folder to change permissions, the options to allow anonymous upload or to allow scripts to be ruin are grayed out.

Any help would be appreciated. We have endlessly searched for a solution online without any success. :)

Thanks.

Hi and Welcome to Outfront.

I don't believe there is a FrontPage-based one out there. IIRC FP requires the FSO objects which are a Windows-only thing.

Having said that, there may be PHP based (or other) solutions out there that don't use FP extensions.
