Using Includes For Off Site Pages - 6/16/2001 16:24:00
I would like include some off-site text on my FP site. Can I do this with the include component, or any other trick? For example, the how would get the text from this link: http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/forecasts/zone/nc/ncz009.txtto appear within a table or sell on my page? I'm currently framing it, but would rather suck it into my page if possible. Any ideas?

Legal battles have been fought over sites being pulled into another's framed site. Best you get permission for that.Unless you were given access to a databank containing the data you wanted on your site, I don't know how it would be done. Includes are a totally different subject. They are used for content that is repeated throughout a site, at least FP includes are. Sandy ------------------ Stu Reilly Design Allegheny Web Dreamweaver Sites

This is public domain information from the National Weather service in .txt fomat. I would like to be able to get it on to my sight w/o using frames.

I had the same question. What is the component for which you are referring? For me, the scope of my question is with the technical aspect of inclusion and welcome all technical responses. ------------------ Casual User
