Publishing in SSL - 9/18/2006 16:11:01
Hello! I am trying to publish only one page of my site with security. However, once someone has entered the https page that I want secure, all the rest of the pages they go to are also secure and they are asked to accept the certificate for each page. Is there some way to only have the https applied to that one page and not the rest of them? I've tried to change hyperlinks, but that does not seem to help. Any ideas?

Make sure the rest of the hyperlinks only use http and not https

Thanks for your reply. I worked on this for an hour yesterday. Even after I would change one of the hyperlinks to make sure it is only http, it seemed like once the visitor was in the https mode, it would not change back to http. Am I doing something wrong? If they entered in http, visited the secure page (https), and next clicked on an http page, they would stay in https and be prompted with the security warning. Any ideas?

You are probably using relative links to point to other pages. Once you are in secure mode on your website, you would need to point to the absolute link and make it 'non-secure'
<a href="http://www.example.com/">Home</a>
This would ensure that going home would be in a non-secure manner.

Usually this is about the best way to go from a secure to a non-secure webpage.

How did you get so smart? My site is all fixed!!!!

Let's try another question: I have a form created on my site, and when the submission comes through in email, the "from" in the email says "web03@appliedi.net." I have tried every which way to get it to use the "email" form field, which would then give me a person to reply to, but it still comes out that way. Do you have any experience with FP and this issue?

I don't know who to go to to answer these questions for me. Thanks, Jayne

My by own mistakes :)

Form Properties will help you out on that but you are limited to some things via Frontpage
