Set up security - 9/19/2006 1:45:48
I am having so much trouble with this and hope one of you really smart FP users can help me! I've designed a web site in FP 2000, with a subweb. Now I want to set up the security to the subweb, but the "security" setting under Tools is grayed-out. I cannot figure out what to do!

Hello, withakj. Welcome to OutFront. Quick question. When you say 'set up security to the subweb' what exactly do you mean? Keep it from being viewed by the general public? Have people log in to it to view it's contents? To protect files? Just a little more information (for me) would be helpful.

I'm in virgin territory here....but the ultimate goal is to have people log-in to view its contents. Any help is so appreciated!

There is a tutorial on that subject in the tutorial section. Click on the Tutorials/FAQ menu on top of the page.
