Need Some Help Identifying Some Hardware - 9/27/2006 12:48:31
Hi!

I'm trying to ID, in order to replace, this all-in-one desktop computer and it has no manufacturer markings on it whatsoever...

I'm trying to find the manufacturer, or somebody that handles these...

Any help will be appreciated
Thanks in advance!

Looks like some sort of WYSE terminal or some secret-yet-to-be-released Mac-wannabe. :)

Seriously tho, doesn't look like anything I recognize.

Have you tried opening the case to see if there are any indications on any components?

If all else fails, it has an Intel sticker on it so we can assume it isa PC. If on startup POST you can hit the <Pause> key to record the BIOS number and then lookup the BOIS here:

http://www.motherboards.org/articles/tech-planations/3_1.html

Knowing what the motherboard and BIOS is can greatly increase your chances of finding out who made it.

Hope it helps.

Once in Windows go to start>settings>control panel>system.

A lot of times OEMs will "brand" this screen with tehir compnany name or logo.

Take care,

Brian

Thanks for the suggestions...

I've had the case open, no markings whatsoever.

...part of the issue, the onboard video controller is bad...it's part of the mother board, the darn thing only takes half-height boards. I'm located in an area that has limited hardware resources, and can't get my hands on one unless I drive an hour and a half to a major city....
so, I can't get any info from the system...
