FIXED IT!! Under | All Tasks | Check Server Extensions ... - 9/28/2006 9:38:32
When I right-click the hosted application (Default Web Site) in IIS Manager and select All Tasks, Check Server Extensions 2002 should be there, but it isn't. Also Recalculate Server Extensions 2002 web is gone.
The FPSE is running, everything is fine, however Check Server Extensions 2002 has disappeared.
How can I get this back?

If figured out another way to get to the FPSE Site Administation:
http://localhost/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmdll.dll?page=webadmin.htm
FPSE Recalculation:
http://localhost/_vti_bin/_vti_adm/fpadmdll.dll?page=recalc.htm
System: Windows Server 2003
Web Server: IIS 6.0

How about properties - is it there? If not - you might need to reinstall the program

No, when I right-click the hosted application (Default Web Site) in IIS Manager and select Properties, the Server Extension 2002 tab is missing.

I think I might have solved the problem.

FIXED IT!!: Under | All Tasks | Check Server Extensions... - 9/28/2006 14:46:44
SOLVED IT!:
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Stop the web services for my Default Web Site in IIS.
2. Copy the content from the Web site content folder to a temporary location. (Alternatively, you can open the content as a disk-based Web in FrontPage 2002, and then publish the content to the new temporary location.)
- I copied C:\Inetpub\website to C:\temp\website
3. Delete all the content from the original Web site folder.
- I deleted the contents of C:\Inetpub\website folder.
4. Extend the Web site by using the FrontPage Server Extensions.
- At this point I was able to see "Configure Server Extensions 2002".
- I opened the FrontPage Server Extension Site Administration for http://localhost
- Clicked on "Check server health".
- It came up with the following error: Tighten security - Your Web site security may need to be tightened. To tighten security as much as possible for your Web sites, select "Fix this problem." Note: This message will re-appear even after your security is tightened.
- I clicked on "Fix this problem".
5. Then I used FrontPage application to publish the content from the temporary disk-based Web location to the newly extended Web site using HTTP.
6. This fixed the problem.
7. FIXED IT!

I hope this helps anyone having the same issue

I am very happy that you got this fixed - it seems you had to do quite a bit actually and thank you for posting what you did.

Good luck with everything!
