joy -> Why won't netscape read my css? (11/23/2001 22:06:00)

My pages display fine in ie, but for some reason, nn is not reading all of my css. It's displaying the images for the lists, but it's not reading some of the font size, color, and heading attributes.

I started changing them all "in line," but then I realized this defeated the purpose of having a linked style sheet... Can anyone help?

Netscape does not read CSS 100% of the time. Many people have experienced the same problem. They were supposed to have that fixed in version 6, but I do not have 6 yet so I cannot testify to it.

Netscape doesn't have trouble with most CSS that manipulates text. Joy, I have a feeling there's a small error in your CSS.

Here's a line from a sheet I know works:
P {font-family:Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight:normal; font-size:10pt;}

You might check to see if your format is the same.

To add color: color:#cc0033;

Thanks Sandy. I had some extra spaces in there, and when I took them out, it started working fine.

Looks like NN6 really does read css

And if done properly, so does NN 4.7. I'm still not seeing the CSS results there.

I am seeing some stuff that NN can't read and will hamper the good CSS. For instance, this: style="padding: 10px; background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: center;"

And this: style="margin-top: 0"

And the font tag will also mess things up: <font size="2">....</font>. Set the size in your CSS.

I also believe you've got a collapsed cell in there because "Welcome to..." is touching the blue cell on the left.
