You can restore that image to another drive, mount that drive as the primary. Then make a backup of the key. If you didn't set the password for the file, then the default pw is that of the user account that initially encrypted the file. So if you were on username John and password rabbit, the password for all encrypted files would be rabbit, assuming that John was the one who encrypted the files. You need to ask yourself, how important are the files you want to get access to? This may or may not work for you: http://www.lostpassword.com/efs.htm and http://www.crackpassword.com/products/prs/mswin/efs/ (i've had good luck with crackpassword decryption programs before) You can also use a program that will look for the key file on your computer, even though it has already been formatted. Not all programs work, but they should be able to access your key file.
