IE7 problems - 10/15/2006 7:19:32
Word of warning for anyone using the Clickfix script to stop IEs annoying "click to activate" message. It doesn't seem to work in IE7. I've tried several different ones and they all result in different quirks.

The nearest I've got is one that works in IE6 and IE7 but in IE7 displays all the endifs in the middle of the page.

Anyone found one that works reliably with multiple Java applets?

Talking to myself here but someone may find this useful further down the line. I think I've found something that works. Playing with it now and if it's OK I'll post back with the fix.

Works but doesn't validate XHTML. Trying something else.

YAY! At last. It works, it validates It even clears Cynthia if you're careful about the content of your noscript.

I tried 18 different methods that I found on the web and this is the only one that ticks all the boxes.

Basically I have some pages with Java drawing tools. There can be 12 or more applets per page so the "click to activate" sends you up the wall. I needed something to work with all ActiveX controls, in all browsers, with multiple occurrences on the same page and validate.

Here it is, it's the first link under the heading "Fixes for annoying stuff".
