Do all ASP web pages require you to identify the web page with .asp at the end of the page or was it an error on my part writing the page?

Yes an asp file must have the ".asp" file extension

I knew I should of added more. I meant in the web address..... http://mysite.com/register vs http://mysite.com/register.asp. On the first way, I get an error.

correct, any links to the page would be http://mysite.com/register.asp

Using http://mysite.com/register is the same as http://mysite.com/register/

- On top of that, if you want to use http://mysite.com/register/ or http://mysite.com/register then place an index.asp file in http://mysite.com/register/
