This is a design I took some time developing and would like your input.

I used dwt's for all pages. The associates link is password protected and I can't allow access there due to my client's wishes. However, the design in the subweb is essentially the same as the public portion.

Umm... I don't know, but I don't see anything sane on Firefox. Everything is stacked in a very narrow pile, the title says “Funding Lake West” and is in many other ways misaligned.

I see plain grey with a blue line logo which looks like a too heavily compressed JPEG image.

Whoa, I refreshed again and now it looks completely different.

It's still a little misaligned and the colors are somewhat depressing monotonous grey. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to see?

Yep, I'm getting the same in Firefox. If you check with the W3C validator you've got a number of errors that could be causing it. Being more standards compliant than the other browsers on the whole, especially IE, it's more likely to throw a strop at invalid code.

It's displaying better in IE7 though (I'm not on my machine with IE6 so haven't checked in that), but there are still some problems, you main box "dreaming of a new home in 2006?" is overlapping the top graphic, and your graphics are very over compressed - you've a lot of "noise" and pixelisation and i'd say sorting out your images is one of the first steps in knocking it into better shape. You've got similar problems on the other pages and on the "about us" page you've got a photo down at the bottom of the page that's getting stretched - the dimensions in your code are 174 x 122, but the actual image dimensions are 107 x 123, so the whole thing's getting skewed when it displays.

I think probably the grey boxes with the predominant grey in images that make up your sidebar where the nav is and the top and bottom of the pages is a little too much grey. You could check out one of the many online colour sheme tools that should come up with a colour scheme that should "lift" the feel of the site a little more.

The first thing you need to sort out though's that code, which should hopefully sort out a lot of your display problems in Firefox.

This is what I'm seeing on the Mac. I checked it in 3 different browsers, FF, Safari and Camino and it looks the same on all of them.

Thanks to everyone who has looked at the site.

Obviously, I hadn't viewed it using Firefox. I'll be installing that browser on my PC shortly.

I don't have easy access to a Mac, so I didn't know it wasn't displaying properly there either.

Thanks again.

Do you have any particular color scheme checkers/creators that you can recommend?

Go take a look in Hints and Tips. You'll drown in them. Choose the one you work with best.

Basically, if you always check it in Firefox and it works fine there, then it should look similar in all the others except IE. IE7 is being rolled out to machines now under the auto update feature. You will have it sometime very soon. If your site suddenly goes whacko suspect IE7.

I know it's fine with IE 7 b/c that's what I'm running on my development machine. I'm getting ready to install Firefox, so I can use it to test.

The AboutUs page got published by mistake. I was in the middle of working on it, so that error is fixed.

Again thanks for the input.

I like the compare loans page....lays out nicely.....BUT the white text on light grey background is hard to read.....maybe make it a dark color or change the whole color scheme of the site to something a little more exciting.

homebuyers club, about us, and home page are scrunched up like others noted (using Firefox)....

photo on contact us page could be better....looks like it's all foggy....
