Well we always said the US would catch up eventually but what surprised me is that it's not Section 508 they're using but ADA. quote:

The ADA applies mainly to public places such as restaurants, retailers, movie theaters and health care institutions. So they seem to be saying that if you have public premises and they are accessible then your web site must be as well.
