Well we always said the US would catch up eventually but what surprised me is that it's not Section 508 they're using but ADA.

quote:

Not every business or Web site is subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act, said John D. Kemp., a lawyer with the Washington law firm Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville P.C. The ADA applies mainly to public places such as restaurants, retailers, movie theaters and health care institutions.
So they seem to be saying that if you have public premises and they are accessible then your web site must be as well.

I've allways looked at 508 as an ADA issue makes it easier to sell to bean counters.

Is this another lawsuit against Target or the same one from earlier this year?

Looks to me like the same one and they're doing everything they can to get out of it.
