Andy Budd's 7 Habits of a Highly Successful Freelance W... - 10/27/2006 7:56:21
Excellent article By andy Budd on freelancing, how to schedule time, how you should go about things, and most of all, the passion that you need to do this.

He talks about constant learning (something I continually work on forever it seems:))

Its an excellent read.

Good article, make an interesting read but one commentator had reservations,

Awesome article dude, even though it was pretty long, I found myself reading the entire thing :)

Long? wonder if he ever reads a whole book. :)

HOW!!! HOW!!! I've tried. and tried, and tried. I've hinted and hinted and dragged them all round and laid it on the line. I've been nice, I've been rude.

It works for at least a week and then it's back to the
"Are you busy?"
"Yes"
"Oh well you need a break."

Yesterday I got
"I know you don't like people phoning during the day cos you're busy so I'll be quick.... did you see that program on Whales on the TV last night....." :):):):)

Someone should do the seven habits of an unsuccessful freelance web designer.

I'll give you a first try; someone else may do better.

1. Stays in bed all day.
2. Never switches on his/her computer
3. Hosts all his sites on myspace
4. Swears at potential customers and tells them he's too busy (playing computer games)
5. His email address ends @aol.com
6. Has a 28kps dial up ISP account (No offense to Nicloe intended)
7. Habitually forgets to invoice his customers.

...and thinks flashing things, scrolling things, and bouncing things (no - not those kind of bouncing things :)) are cool...

Hang on a minute though...that last statement describes the head of IT where I work! :)

I know you said "no offense" Donkey, but for anyone else reading this later and wondering . . .

There's no reason you can't make excellent websites using a slow connection speed or any kind of dial-up at all.
