I am a long time user of Visio, but I've hit a new problem. While working on a complex drawing, (stretching a text box), the screen started a slight dithering shift and everything locked up in that condition. No recourse except power down. After powering up and opening Visio, the program will not recognize that file as a visio file even tho' it is identified correctly as one. Any ideas?

Check your memory availability. If the thing is really large then you will get lock ups if memory is tight.

Make sure there's plenty of space on your HD, get rid of *.tmp files and all temp Internet files to clear space, do a defrag. See if that helps.
