Access to hosted site Problem - 11/1/2001 23:41:00
Since up dating our system for security reasons we can no longer access one of our externally hosted websites in order to update it. Our web site maintenance person has been doing this live but since our update (patching) of IIS and Proxy Server we can not access site for updating. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We have contacted our Host Techsupport and have contacted our DSL provider and they have no helpful suggestions.

Frontpage 2000, Workstation 98SE, Network Sever NT 4.

Does FP crash when you try to connect or does it fail to recognize your userID/password, or does it just churn and eventually time out?

It did not connect to the site and userID/password was not requested. It could not find the site from FP.

We have solved the problem with a work around. We will be editing locally and then publishing. The web maintenance person had been doing all updating live on the site. We will not be doing that for a number of reasons. Thanks for your response.
