Critiques please - 11/7/2006 11:56:30
I've actually been working on this site for some time ... however I jumped into it without knowing anything at all. I realize that tables aren't the way it should be designed and someday I'll learn about CSS - but for now this is it: www.mc2ct.org
am concerned mostly with appeal, wordiness, ease of use.
Please ignore the awful shirt photo!!! it will be replaced as soon as we find a suitable model!
Thanks in advance!

What on earth is googlec2cafb42cef1e8e4 when it's at home?

I have to say I really don't like the colour scheme at all. It's dark, drab, dreary.

quote:

will be a scenic non-motorized, multi-user trail

It needs to be light, bright and airy - where's the scenic? Your home page needs to draw people in, at the moment it just makes me feel depressed and reminds me of waxed, waterproof coats.

Thanks! just the kind of feedback I was hoping for. I've especially never liked the white text. (took care of that little link problem too!)
I'll have to toy around with different backgrounds - never thought of it as depressing but it is kind of an ucky color

Your images also need to be optimised, especially the logo in the top left. It took over a minute for your opening page to download on dial-up.

I'd also get rid of the flashing green text, it's quite hard to read.

the flashing text is kind of annoying after a few seconds.

ditto on the flashing text. colour scheme is not there yet - something lighter behind the main area with darker text
