bearcat Posts: 9 Joined: 8/27/2006 Status: offline	password protection when published - 11/11/2006 20:24:20 I published my site and now when I go to look at it on internet explorer it asks for a username and password. I do not want restriction on this website it is open to the public. Can someone help me figure out what is causing this password protection to happen. thanks

It's unusual for an account to be passworded straight off. Are you sure you've loaded it into the correct directory? If so then you need to look at what permissions are set up for the account. If you're on a Linux host then it's usually easy enough to change them via the cpanel. If in doubt, ask your host. _____________________________ If it ain't broke..... fix it until it is.
