Dreamweaver vs Expression - 11/14/2006 11:10:50
I have a Dell P4 running Windows 2000. I really don't want to put a new operating system in but as you know EW will not run on anything below XP. On the other hand Dreamweaver will run just fine after trying a 30 day trial on the program. I would like to move past FP soon. Any recommendations on what you would do?

If I were you I'd go to an HTML editor and get into the code itself. If you absolutely must use a WYSIWYG I suppose it'd have to be DW.

Thanks Tailside, I can use an HTML editor but I am disabled and use a mouthstick to type. Obviously I can work faster with a WYSIWYG editor since I type about the speed of a fat turtle. The Dreamweaver code is much easier to clean up than FP which is why I would like to get away from it.

In which case, before forking out for DW you might want to look at Nvu which is a WYSIWYG editor but it's meant to produce fairly decent code plus it's free (which is always a bonus! :)).

- Why DW over EW? Isn't the EW based off of the FP design view?

MCD uses windows 2000 therefore EW is not an option.

I was pretty sure Expression worked under win 2k, even tho it wasn't listed under the requirements. Anyone know if it has been tried before?
