FrontPage Search error message - 11/26/2006 17:22:05
I'm trying to use the Search Page Template from FrontPage 2003.

All appeared to be ok until I try to test it on line

Then, no matter what I search for, I get the same message:

"Error from search: 2can't open the inverted index file /home/campinga/public_html/_vti_txt/default.wti/All.inv"

I don't know whether to blame my server or FrontPage or myself.

I did have it working properly some time ago, but that may have been while I was still using FrontPage 2000, I don't remember for sure.

Does anyone here use the Search feature successfully?

Open the site in FP and run Tools | Recalculate Hyperlinks and see it that solves the problem.
If not, you may need to delete the WAIS index files including All.inv so FP can recreate it

Spooky,

It took me a while to get it done, having a slow connection and also having to check everything twice, like good ole Santa.

But it worked!

Thanks very much!

CJ
