Pop Out Menus - 11/28/2006 13:27:19
Hi,

I've got a popup out menu that works with all browers except IE5 Mac. It even works with IE Windows!

I haven't been able to find a solution, does anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks

What's it doing in IE5 mac?

I tend to bury my head in the sand and go "la la la" loudly when faced with IE5 mac issues unless it's specified by the client. IE5/5.5 PC is generally not a problem but 5.2 mac is often difficult to fix.

Without seeing what's doing wrong it's difficult to say but one issue that might cause problems is IE5.2's reluctance to show list items inline properly - it tends to bunch them up. A way round it would be to float the list items rather than use display:inline.

HI,

Thanks. The problem is that the dropdown menu just isn't dropping down. It drops with all other browser except IE Mac

any suggestions welcome - what about this float vs inline business?

Thanks again!

can you give us a link to the menu - it's very hard to diagnose problems with dropdowns/pop-outs at the best of times but without seeing it, it's practically impossible!

Could you also let us know where you got the menu from in the first place as there are sometimes solutions to be had on the sites where they originate.
