Feedback on my site, don't be afraid to insult it - 12/8/2006 17:34:40
Hello :) im new at this site!

And this is my site! Made it as a "portfolio" to contain descriptions and small little screenshots of other sites i built (wich it does not contain because of my lazieness).

The language is swedish so dont expect to understand whats written unless youre a sweede.

Tell me whats bad and whats good about it!, please. My webdesigning is not getting much better at the moment so i need to know how i can make it better.:)

Hi aleznander

It's a bit tricky to say much at this stage as there in only the one page - and I don't read Swedish. Maybe you should reconsider the font though - it may be difficult for some people to read on their screens.

Interesting wheely thing...

Thanks for the font tip, i will reconsider it. And nice to hear you like the "wheely thing" :P

More information about my idéa: The site design is infact made to look like a sunrise over a sea, if you couldnt see it. And the "wheely thing" is rays of light coming from the sun. The rays are meant to be the websites root menu, so when you click on a ray (and the wheely thing starts spinning), information about the site you clicked on (the rays will be links to information about the diffrent sites i made) will appear on the water (where the content is located).

If you click on the arrow thingy in the down right corner you will also see that there is a tiny gallery in the middle of the site that rotates. That is where the screenshots of the website will be located.

Ah! Spotted the arrows now! :) I think you probably need some indication of what the arrows are for though - they look a little as though they're just part of the background design. I like the wheely thing :) and it's nice to see an alternative to the standard navigation (though possibly it spins a little too quickly), but as you're using Flash for the navigation, you also need to make sure there's alternative plain text navigation available for those who can't use the Flash navigation. As it is, it's completely inaccessible to anyone who can't use a mouse, and that includes those why use keyboard navigation, screenreaders etc.
