Opening A Page in FP Automatically Takes me to Web Page - 12/9/2006 4:16:33
Here is my problem:
When I open a page (for design) of my web, the page loads, closes and automatically takes me to the published web page.

Here are my steps:
- Open FrontPage
-Open web
-Right click on a page to open it.
-The page opens, then FrontPage closes, and the page opens on my web site.

When I open the page (on the web) and check the source I find 100's of lines with just the notations </html> or <html>.

Here is an example: http://www.celebrate-family.com/Articles.htm.

Thank you for your time and assistance.
M.

Open the page in Notepad and see if you can remove those extra tags.

If you still have the same problem, make sure that you do not have the default editor set for .htm to be your web browser. If you have .htm or .html to be the default editor (inside of FrontPage), then when you try to open one of those files, it will only open it inside of your browser.
