pagergal -> Cannot get sites to load in FP. What could be wrong? (12/12/2006 20:51:58)

Hi, on the same day all my sites became impossible to load in FP. I use FP2002 and have been for years and prefer it to Dreamweaver, but right now I am forced to FTP.
I asked both hosting companies to allow me to have permission to enter the sites, but neither has responded.
I don't know what to do. FTP is twice the work for me. The error message is YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO ACCESS THIS WEB FOLDER LOCATION. And sometimes I get this error message: THE WEB SERVER DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY AUTHENTICATION METHODS ENABLED. IT ASKED FOR USER AUTHENTICATION BUT DID NOT SEND A WWW-AUTHENTICATE HEADER.
Any help at all is very appreciated. I have been trying to solve this problem for a couple of weeks now. I removed and reinstalled FP2002 in a new folder. I unistalled extensions and reinstalled. NO HELP THERE...
Since this involves websites hosted on two different hosts, I am presuming the problem is on my side. BUT I did notice my dialup service moved its location at about the same time. Do you think the dialup service perhaps changed the firewall on its side or what is your opinion, please... I really want to be able to use FP again. I changed my passwords but same problem, still cannot load the sites into FP. THANKS and HAPPIEST HOLIDAYS TO ALL THE MEMBERS AND FAMILIES!

- Get a new host?

The best way to rule out the host being the issue, is by trying it on another computer - it does sound like a host issue to me though.

Link your host over to: FP2000: Error Message When Users Try to Connect to Web Server: Web Server Does Not Appear to Have Any Authentication Methods Enabled

If they fail to respond, ditch them.
