woo -> Pictures not saving correctly (12/21/2006 3:00:09)

I'm having a big problem with frontpage and firefox. All of the sudden my pictures and backgrounds I've made from pictures are not saving correctly in frontpage. I don't see the file coming up to be saved as I should. All pictures, backgrounds etc can be seen normally in explorer but I just get a blank white background in firefox where the pictures and backgrounds should be.

Also, why do borders show up differently in IE and Firefox? Thanks for your time

Borders show up differently because they're different browsers and they display them differently. You'll find they're different in Opera too.

As to the pictures, need to see a URL before anyone can comment or do you mean you just can't see them on your machine in Preview?

http://bellacanecorso.com.seanic33.net/ sorry this is the temp url for this website. Also I am aware that they are two different browsers, but when I choose a color in frontpage it is not showing in the border in firefox. When I save a picture normally the file comes up for me to click ok on save. I am not getting that file now in my window. It does preview normally. And it does show up as it should in IE.

I figured out how to make them work. I can't save picture files from my picture folder so I moved the folder to the web folder and now the pictures show up. I'm still not sure why it stopped working the way it has for a couple of years now but I did manage to get it working satisfactory.

OK, well done, that's usually the safest way to do it anyway. Keep your original pics in one folder and have another set in your web folder, that way you don't accidentally destroy the originals.http://www.

As to borders. Different browsers do different things. Some stuff you can colour and in IE and it shows up fine but Opera for example will insist on showing it as a silver grey line no matter what you do.

Border colours and Browsers

Take coloured scroll bars for example. You can do that no problems in IE but every other browser will ignore it.

Some things you can get round by using css to style your pages. www.w3schools.com
